Audience:
Teachers in 4th -8th grade who have completed the 2007 Life Science ALIAS Course. Teachers may invite 3-5 of their students to attend ALIAS Summer CAMP.
Description:
Students and teachers under the guidance of university faculty and graduate students, tackle four different life science inquiry lessons that focus on mathematics standards: fractions, ratios, measures of central tendency and graphing. Activities are hands on and group oriented and are designed to help teachers determine how they will use these in the regular classroom. A tour of UC Riverside and an awards ceremony culminate the weeklong camp.
